Cape Town International Airport – This morning you will be collected for your transfer from your hotel to Cape Town International Airport, where you will board your domestic flight from Cape Town to Durban.

On arrival in Durban, you will be warmly welcomed and escorted to your awaiting coach transfer to Zululand in northern KwaZulu-Natal. Zululand is an area of game reserves, awesome bushveld scenery, is the stronghold of the Zulu Kingdom, a wild coastline and some of the highest vegetated dunes in the world.

Your destination is Thula Thula Private Game Reserve, a world acclaimed game lodge, where a legendary herd of elephant, and one man have touched the lives of so many people across the world. Lawrence Anthony, author of ‘The Elephant Whisperer’, an extraordinary story to save a herd of elephant from destruction (now residing on Thula Thula since their arrival in 1999). Lawrence also wrote ‘Babylon’s Ark’, accounting the incredible wartime rescue of the Baghdad Zoo and ‘The Last Rhino’s’ his final book of the powerful story on one man’s battle to save the species. This is a private lodge that is fuelled by the passion of the owners.
