Cuba_tour_Plaza2Get to know this unique and unusual island as we explore its culture. As the primary purpose of our pilgrimage, we will attend a Christian church service, then view some of the many religious sites this city is home to.  Our assistance is much needed by the locals, and we will go to deliver school supplies to Cuban children. Lunch will be at a wonderful paladare, one of the local “family kitchen” restaurants that has sprung up all over Havana. It will be the first of many such stops as you are treated to the true insider’s Cuba. This afternoon, we will visit a family home and their surrounding shops, getting a truly local tour so we can see how families live in Cuba today. This evening, we will enjoy a welcome drink at La Bodeguita del Medio, “the little store in the middle,” a special and unique piece of Cuba’s wonderful history and one of Ernest Hemingway’s favorite haunts. Then it’s on to dinner at another local gem. (B/L/D)
