April 24-25. Al Madina (Breakfast, Lunch)
After our pilgrimage across the country, and our journey deep into the heart of our own hearts, what better way to reward ourselves than with four days of relaxation at the stunning seaside town of Essaouira?
The gorgeous azure waters meld with a sky bluer than your imagination can conjure. Here the elements mingle – sun, sand, sea – into a luxurious revery of rejuvenation. The perfect place to relax, remember, and integrate all that we’ve experienced and learned…
Stay first at the Dar l’Oussia. Situated on the ramparts of Essaouira’s medina, this large boutique riad lies in close proximity to the souks, beach and ancient fishing port. Renovated by the finest craftsmen of Essaouira, Dar l’Oussia offers 20 spacious rooms and four suites. Each room and suite is meticulously decorated and extremely comfortable, and each has its own elegant bathroom. Some rooms are decorated using traditional materials such as tadelakt, marble and zellige (intricate stucco resembling lace).
Then we move on to Riad Al Madina. In the shade of the ancient city walls, in the heart of the Medina and 200 meters from the beach, Riad Al Medina springs from a maze of narrow streets with captivating fragrances. This old house of Essaouira, built in 1871, retains all the charm and the elegance of this time. Riad Al Medina is the favorite place of international artists.
