We’ve fallen in love with Madrid! After visiting one of Spain’s most gorgeous and memorable cities, we decided we had to turn it into a Spirit Quest adventure!
Remarkable literature, history, food and wine – from Hemingway and Cervantes to sangria and the world’s best tapas – we’re building a whole new kind of Spirit Quest that we can’t wait to share with you, a gastro-spiritual tour that will feed your body, mind and spirit equally.
We’ll trace the footsteps of some of the world’s greatest writers, artists, and chefs, fall into the sensual rhythms of this delightful city, eat like locals and revel in centuries of art, architecture and life. Then take an extension tour to Barcelona and continue the adventure!
Join us as we eat, drink, and revel in the best tapas bars, food halls, street festivals, cooking classes, and coffee spots in Madrid – your farewell dinner even takes place at the marvelous Botin, the oldest restaurant in the world!

In the evening, perhaps explore Madrid at night – this is a city that rarely sleeps, and there’s lots to do and see after the sun sets; an evening walking tour through cobblestone streets may put you in mind of another era, or a brisk stroll down one of the central Vias will entice you with its mix of modern and ancient shops, restaurants, and the ubiquitous tapas bars. (B, L)
Day 6, Sept 10
After breakfast, spend the day on your own, enjoying one of the many local museums, such as Reina Sofia, home to Dali’s works, or more shopping!
