Enjoy an early breakfast then a private coach ride to the Chalice Well. The Chalice Well is one of Britain’s most ancient wells, nestled in the Vale of Avalon between the famous Glastonbury Tor and the Chalice Hill. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and orchards, it is a living sanctuary in which the visitor can experience the quiet healing of this sacred place. For over two thousand years this has been a place where people have gathered to drink the waters and find solace, peace and inspiration.
After the Chalice Well, you can walk the Tor. It sits atop what’s considered the most holy hill in southwest England. It’s no ordinary hill: people develop personal, profound relationships with it. Great transformation, clarity & deep shifts come from taking a walk to and from the Tor.
It is said to be the home of Gwyn ap Nudd, King of the Fairies and all who visit will be infused with joy. Also said to be the location in which the many mysteries of the Lady of the Lakes and Excaliber originate from.
Then it’s on to lunch at the Blue Note Café, and a walk on the cobblestones to check out the shops as you make your way to The White Well. Set within the base of the Tor, the White Well is one of the mysteries of the Isle of Avalon. Two different healing springs, one that flows through red iron and the other through white with calcite, flow from beneath the Tor. Both have great healing properties in their streams. In this modern day, the White Well sits beneath a Victorian-built Well House, candlelit and mysterious. Its interior consists of domed ceilings, bowed floors, intimate chambers and pools of the healing waters. The pools have been built according to the principles of the sacred geometries and temperature is consistent. In this candlelit inner place of sanctuary, the sound of flowing water is ever-present, adding to this unique and sacred space.
Visitors are welcome to sit in silence, relax in the pools and drink the refreshing healing waters.
Just a short private coach ride back to the Bear Hotel and it’s time to get ready for our Farewell Dinner. One of the most delicious foods found in England is Indian Cuisine. A trip to England is not the same without taking in those flavors. We will gather to reminisce over an evening of fine dining, feasting at the award-winning Raj Indian Restaurant.
